ABOUT SARAH
Summary
Sarah Ming Jordan is a professional dancer based in Chicago who is currently an apprentice with Hubbard Street Dance Chicago, under the direction of Glenn Edgerton, for the 2019-20 season.

Sarah began her ballet training at The Academy of Movement and Music in Oak Park, Illinois under Stephanie Clemens and Larry Ippel. She continued her studies at The Kirov Academy of Ballet of Washington D.C under Martin Freedman and graduated from Butler University, in Indianapolis. She graduated Cum Laude with a BFA in Dance and a Minor degree in Art + Design in 2018. After graduation she joined HS Pro, the Hubbard Street Dance Chicago Professional Program directed by Alexandra Wells.
Sarah has attended numerous summer programs and workshops including Ballet X, Milwaukee Ballet, ABT, Hubbard Street Dance Chicago, The Isadora Duncan Dance Company Summer Workshop, and NW Dance Project LAUNCH. She has performed in works including Gerald Arpino’s 'Viva Vivaldi', Paul Taylor’s 'Piazzolla Caldera', and Ohad Naharin's 'Decadance'.
Sarah is skilled with the sewing machine and has experience working, designing, and constructing ballet costumes, including tutus, tunics, and bodices, under the direction of Butler Ballet's costume directress, Kathleen Eagan.
Sarah is an enthusiastic, fluid, and lyrical mover and a versatile dancer. When Sarah is not dancing, she is a visual artist who loves to paint and create mixed media works.
